although, there are some things to fix for the scones.
add more sugar and evaporated milk for example.

i've just revived my reading habits. well not exactly cos time is always a factor.
but im reading a bit more than i did last year during this time of the year.
at least ^^



i've just finished Boy by Roald Dahl. a funny and honest account
of the author's childhood.

what struck me the most is his mother's strength and tenacity as a
single mother bringing up 5 children on her own. she was a
loving and practical sort of mum and deals with challenges
as they come, head on. very very inspiring.

and of course the tales of butt-lashing obsessed headmasters and
mean, huge bosomed matrons in the schools keep my hands
fisted to a ball. they were an evil and wicked lot!

and the best of tales is of course the food, drinks and adventures that he
and his family had as they vacationed together every summer. i could
almost picture it, the small boats they sailed on as they looked for new
islands to relaxed on. just lovely.

so definitely, the next step is to read Going Solo. soon enough :)

i was at my desk reading my emails and
not dressed to receive visitors.
then there was a knock on the door.
it was 11.15am. random sellers were about usually at this time.
i left it alone while the knocking continued.
it went on pretty long until my phone rang.

my client asked if i was home. that her colleague
was outside my door to pass me a gift.
i was appalled to say the least :)

it rested just outside my gate. a lovely package.

and im loving the innovative and customised product packaging :)

sigh.. thinking and smiling at the elves in Yellow Octopus right now :B
